ING forms are a way of changing a verb into a noun.

You can use them to talk about things you do.

   Reading is fun = It´s fun to read

   I am good at cooking = I can cook well.

   Andres likes fishing = Andres likes to fish

It is easy to make an ING form:

   Base verb + ING

Cook   --->   Cooking      Talk   ---->   Talking

Read   --->   Reading        Drink   --->   Drinking

Be careful! Some verbs end in e. take away e and add ING

Write   --->   Writing   Make   --->   Making

Smile   --->   Smiling   Ride   --->   Riding

Learn the spelling of these ING forms

Swim   --->   Swimming      Run   --->   Running 

Sit   --->   Sitting      Dig   --->   Digging

Cut   --->   Cutting      Begin   --->   Beginning

Always use an ING form (or a noun) after prepositions. Ej In, At, With

ING forms can be the subject or object of a sentence. Look:

Swimming is fun.( Subject )
